2027 Children’s Daily Prayer

$14.50

For centuries, Christians have made time holy by pausing throughout the day to pray the Liturgy of the Hours. Children’s Daily Prayer adapts that tradition for young people, following the pattern of the Church’s Morning Prayer.

This annual resource gives school leaders, catechists, and parents a complete order of prayer for every day of the school year. Each service is simple enough for a child to lead and takes no more than five to eight minutes, so it fits easily into the start of a class or school day. Children participate throughout, with time for silent reflection on what the Scriptures mean for their own lives.

The daily readings are chosen to walk children through the Bible, helping them come to know the great stories and themes of salvation history.

Inside:

  • A daily and weekly order of prayer for the full school year, August 16, 2026, to June 25, 2027
  • Special prayer services for solemnities, feasts, and other occasions, suitable for a classroom or a large gathering
  • “About the Season” sections explaining each liturgical time and how to create a prayerful environment
  • Pronunciation guides in the opening sections and Scripture passages, to support young readers who lead prayer
  • Send-home pages that connect classroom prayer with home
  • Guidance for parents on praying with the book at home and setting up a prayer space

Through daily prayer, Children’s Daily Prayer helps children build a lifelong habit of turning to God and forms them in the paschal mystery of Christ, the heart of all the Church’s liturgical prayer.
